Bio
I am a pink-collar, pseudo-revolutionary grrl. I live in Albu-queer-que, NM. I'm a junior at UNM, double-majoring in English and American studies. I work as a freelance journalist and pink-collar corporate slave. I have at least a year and a half until I finish my bachelor's degree. When I'm licensed, I plan to explore my aptitude for teaching high school English for a while. When I inevitably tire of that, I shall get mired down in graduate work and remain a rusty but frisky academic cog, perhaps moving on to teaching at a college level, until I can reasonably retire. In retirement, I hope to spend my live-long days scrawling absurdist polemics and poetry, making art, continuing to write, perhaps fiction and poetry ... I favor juxtaposition (yes, I know this word is hellishly misused/overused), camp, humor, naughtiness, color! and irreverence. I'm really into the written word. Having outgrown my hard-core partying phase, I still regularly engage in low-risk chemical diversion. I like doing cut-ups rather than sit-ups. I spend most of my time at my home in front of my television (watching DVDs or the BBC), my computer (utilizing Netflix's "Watch Now" selections, reading blogs, and reading and researching via the Internet constantly) and my bed. I like ritual but am not a fan of religion, organized or private. My art-making and consumption leans toward Dadaism, Lettrism, "meat art", Outsider Art, Situationist and Surrealism. I like taking long, hot aromatherapeutic baths with my collection rubber duckies, including a Mae West Celibriduck. I identify as bisexual, like fem-porn and intellectual erotica; I'm utterly sex positive. I embrace mindfulness, new experiences, good grammar, class-conscious people, radical acceptance and dark chocolate. I have more acquaintances than friends, because I prize quality over quantity when it comes to friendships. But the friends that I do have are people I will always be in touch with, until my dying day.
